01 Mar 2018 The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) has published a full report on their Roundtable on The Future of Cultural Leadership in Singapore, which was held on 27 October 2017. ITI Director T. Sasitharan and ITI Chairman Arun Mahiznan, who is also a Special Research Adviser at IPS, were presenters at the roundtable.

Visit from theatre director and writer Shintaro Murakami

03 Jan 2018 ITI welcomed our first visitor from Kyoto Art Center, young theatre director and writer Shintaro Murakami of Yuuguresya Yowaotoko Unit, who is on an Asian research tour to gather inspirations that will form original folk songs, feeding into his contemporary productions. Over 2 days at ITI, Murakami-san met and spoke with ITI students and staff, including ITI Director T. Sasitharan.

01 Dec 2017 The triennial Asian Intercultural Conference (AIC) was organised this year from 27 - 30 November with the theme “Theatre Wars: Return of the Artist”, attracting delegates from Canada, Hong Kong, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore.
