    28 Feb 2020 Saran Jith (‘17) was honoured at the JC Daniel Kalashreshta Awards for his film debut in Nalpathiyonnu, movement teacher Lim Chin Huat was nominated for a Life Theatre Award for Best Set for Not In My Lifetime? (The Finger Players and Gateway Academy) and Grace Kalaiselvi (‘14) received a nomination for Best Guest Actress (Drama) at the Indie Series Awards for People Like Us.

    Passing of Wayang Wong master teacher Bambang Besur Suryono

    21 Jan 2020 ITI is deeply saddened by the passing of Wayang Wong master teacher Bambang Besur Suryono on 21 January 2020. Besur had given 12 cohorts of ITI students the honour of learning the form. Our sincere condolences to his loved ones. We will miss him dearly.

    23 Nov 2019 Alumna Yeo Yann Yann ('03) won Best Leading Actress at the Golden Horse Awards and Best Actress at Pingyao International Film Festival, for her performance in Anthony Chen's film Wet Season. She also received the Inspiring Woman in Film Award at the Singapore International Film Festival.

    16 Oct 2019 Alumnus Miyuki Kamimura (’05) received the Best New Actor award at Urduja Film Festival for his performance in Filipino film Tanabata’s Wife. His performance also earned him the Best Actor award at ToFarm Film Festival 2018.

    14 Oct 2019 Alumni Felimon Blanco (’05) and Denise Mordeno Aguilar (’14) have been elected as Head and Secretary, respectively, of the National Committee on Dramatic Arts in the Philippines from 2020 - 2022. They previously held the respective positions of Vice Head and Assistant Secretary from 2017 - 2019.
