Award-winning actress and ITI alumna Yeo Yann Yann will lead a 5-day actor training workshop, providing a unique opportunity for participants to gain invaluable insights into the actor’s process. Limited to 15 places, selected participants will receive focused attention and personalised feedback for actors to fine tune their skills and improve their confidence on screen and stage.


Content:
Drawing from her vast experience on stage and screen, Yeo Yann Yann breaks down the actor’s process through four parts: Preparation, Improvisation, Characterisation and Scene Work. Through this 5-day workshop, emerging performing artists will learn a fundamental framework towards creating dynamic, vivacious characters that brim with life. Improve your sensibilities, hone your reflexes and find connection with the spark of spontaneity in your performance, with the guidance of a multi-award winning actress.

Limited to 15 pax. Selected participants will be contacted and invited to complete payment.

Medium of instruction: Mainly English (Participants may improvise or work on scripts in other languages)

Total training hours: 15 hours

  • 20% discount for Creative Independents / Delegates from Non-Profit Organisations (with operating budgets below S$2 million p.a.) There are limited subsidies in this category.

About the Instructor:
Yeo Yann Yann is a multi-award-winning actress from Malaysia, known regionally and internationally for her work in theatre, film and television. She won Best Actress at the 56th Golden Horse Awards for her role in Wet Season (2019), and at the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards for Invisible Stories, for which she also received a nomination for Best Actress at the 2020 International Emmy Awards.

Yann Yann became a household name in Asia when her film ILO ILO (2013) won the Camera D’or at the Festival de Cannes that year. Subsequently, she won Best Supporting Actress at the 50th Golden Horse Awards and took home the same prize at the 8th Asia Film Awards for her role as a pregnant mother fighting for the love of her son with his nanny. Her nuanced performance also won her Best Actress at numerous international film festivals including India, Vladivostok, and Dubai.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

In the event that a registered participant decides to withdraw from the workshop, the following conditions will be applied:

  • The participant is eligible for a 50% refund, provided that the notice of withdrawal is received more than 14 days prior to the workshop's starting date.

  • No refund will be issued if the notice of withdrawal is received 14 days or less from the starting date of the workshop.

Minimum Registration

For the workshop to proceed as scheduled, a minimum of 8 registered participants is necessary. We retain the right to cancel any workshop if the minimum registration requirement is not met. In the unlikely scenario where we must cancel the workshop for which you have registered, you will receive a complete refund of the fees paid.

Photography and Videography

Photography and/or videography may be conducted by ITI for publicity and archival purposes. Selected participants will be asked to give consent for these images to be used by ITI. Unauthorised photography, audio, or video recording is strictly prohibited during the workshop unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Health and Physical Consideration

This workshop may involve moderate physical demands. If you currently have or have had any physical impairments, or if you are taking medications that might affect your ability to participate fully, please consult with us before registering.

Except for any conditions disclosed to us in writing, you warrant that you are adequately fit and healthy to engage in the training and activities offered in this workshop. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify us against any expenses, losses, or damages resulting from a breach of this warranty.
