About the Residency:
The Residency at ITI aims to facilitate independent practice research and experimental performance-making within the local community. The programme offers space and time for artists to develop their practice through dialogue and experimentation, with a focus on facilitating a process-based approach.
The Residency guidelines are informed by ITI’s culture and philosophy, in line with ITI’s mission to nurture technical competence, critical awareness, social engagement and artistic autonomy in theatre artists so that they are capable of contributing significantly to the theatre-making processes and cultures of their own communities.
Selected Artists-In-Residence will have an opportunity to interact with the international student body at ITI and our esteemed faculty and arts managers. Two applicants will be selected for the Residency period. No stipend is available for this residency.
