The cast of seven ITI student-actors, who are completing their third year of rigorous training in intercultural acting this year, come from countries as diverse and distant as India, Italy, Bolivia, The Philippines and Singapore.
The complex and fascinating plot features incest, shipwreck, mass famine, betrayal, two tempests at sea, a princess saved from assassination by kidnapping pirates who sell her to a brothel, the resurrection of the dead, mistaken identity, a goddess, families torn apart, restoration of the kingship, and the ultimate redemption.
The production is directed by Aarne Neeme, a prominent Australian director with over 50 years of experience in international theatre and TV, who was conferred the Order of Australia Award in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
