Curious about what it’s like to study at ITI? Join us for Open Studio, a rare opportunity to experience ITI’s unique intercultural training methodology first-hand. Start the day with movement classes led by Lim Chin Huat, explore your voice with Simon Stollery, and immerse yourself in Jingju (Beijing Opera) with Exemplar Lineage Holder Mdm Li Qiu Ping - our visiting master teacher and the Stephen Riady Master Chair in Beijing Opera.
The ITI Acting Programme is a distinctive actor training programme based on an intercultural learning methodology, melding the traditional and contemporary. For those interested in pursuing ITI’s Professional Diploma in Intercultural Theatre (Acting), we invite you to Open Studio.
Places are limited, please register your interest early to secure a spot! After registration, selected participants will be invited to complete payment and confirm attendance.

Open to all levels of theatre/performance experience
Minimum age of 17
Commitment to full-day attendance
Comfortable clothing for movement
10:45 AM – 11.00 AM : Registration
11.00 AM – 12.00 PM : Movement for Actors with Lim Chin Huat (Singapore)
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM : Voice & Speech with Simon Stollery (Australia)
1:00 PM – 2:15 PM : Lunch and dialogue with ITI students & faculty
2:15 PM – 3:45 PM : Jingju (Beijing Opera) with master teacher Li Qiu Ping (China)
3:45 PM – 4:30 PM : Closing Q&A with ITI staff and faculty

If a registered participant chooses to withdraw from the workshop, the following will apply:
Minimum Registration
In order for Open Studio to be held, we require a minimum of five registered participants. We reserve the right to cancel the event if the minimum registration is not met. In the rare circumstance that we need to cancel the event for which you are registered, you will receive a full refund of the fees paid.
Photography and Videography
Photography and/or videography may be conducted by ITI for publicity and archival purposes. If selected to participate in Open Studio, you consent to the use of photography and videography taken by the ITI Marketing Team for the purposes stated above. Unauthorised photography, audio, or video recording is strictly prohibited during the workshop unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Health and Physical Considerations
Our classes can be moderately physically demanding. If you currently have, or have had in the past, any impairing physical conditions or are taking required medications that might affect your ability to participate in any particular class, please consult us before you register. Other than any condition brought to our notice in writing, you warrant that you are sufficiently fit and healthy to undergo the training and activities in Open Studio classes, and will indemnify us in relation to any expense, loss or damage caused by breach of warranty.
