Lecture by Anne Bogart: An Approach to the Theatre

Viewpoint of an American on the world stage

Presented by Singapore Arts Festival and National Arts Council, in association with TTRP

What does the theatre ‘mean’ and what can it ‘do’ in the context of our present global environment?  Can art be useful? Can it expand the notion of what it means to be human?  How do we approach one another within the arena of a fast changing global context?

These topics were discussed at a talk by Anne Bogart, visionary artistic director from SITI Company, recipient of two Obie Awards and a Bessie Award, and Associate Professor at Columbia University, to investigate and explore theatre in a different light.
