About Ma Forgets
Ma Forgets is a participatory theatre performance that explores the intricate landscape of different stages of dementia from the caregiver and patient's perspective. The audience becomes an integral part of the narrative, stepping into the fragmented world of the caregiver and patient, who are grappling with the challenges of memory loss. This semi-autobiographical piece is the artist's attempt to hold on to her mother's fading memories. It also asks the question of what defines a person when memory fades.
Ma Forgets is envisioned as a durational performance to be developed during Renee's residency at ITI.
