About CLOUD BODY
CLOUD BODY is an ongoing body of research helmed by Ranice Tay which seeks to develop an approach to theatre-making through the embodiment of Taiji. It is inspired by rigorous investigations into the origins of traditional Taiji, both as a martial art and philosophy.
The research proposes a way to re-centre the human being through training, and to help performing bodies access their most intuitive level of craft through mind-body discipline and the cultivation of inner 'emptiness'.
Through the residency, Ranice Tay and Wushiren Theatre will work towards developing I am finally in love with the world into full-length performative work.
