Maria Au Mong Chao

Maria teaches acting, voice and movement at the Macao Conservatory’s School of Drama. Her studies at ITI were supported by a scholarship awarded by the Cultural Institute of Macao (now Cultural Affairs Bureau). After ITI, she also completed her MA in Directing at Rose Bruford College in London. She has co-directed a devised play with another ITI alumni, Jose Ku. In addition, she conducted research into theatre development in China in relation the 100th anniversary of the birth of contemporary theatre in China in 2007.
