Leanne is a language and drama teacher and consultant to Singapore schools. She had also taught drama at the Singapore International School in Shanghai before.

She also serves as language coach for Singapore drama productions, and has taught “Mandarin speech in Performance” with Nine Years Theatre in 2016, and with Drama Box in 2012. She has also served as a narrator, accompanying the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) in Singapore Season in China 2007 - a national multi-agency initiative to showcase Singapore’s arts and cultural achievements. She continues to provide vocal commentary and narration for various SCO and Singapore Youth Chinese Orchestra performances.

On the stage, Leanne has been seen in The Theatre Practice’s production of Lights Up (2004) in Singapore, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. In August 2004, she also played the lead role in Toy Factory Theatre’s productions of two Eleanor Wong plays, Wills and Secession, and Mergers and Accusations. In 2010, she formed part of the Beijing cast of Toy Factory Theatre’s Crab Flower Club.
