ITI is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Nai as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Andrew Nai’s interest in theatre started during his secondary school and junior college days when he attended Kuo Pao Kun's plays (amongst many other plays and musicals) and had acting roles in his school drama productions. An advocate of the arts and education, Andrew joined the ITI Board in 2022, and also holds committee positions in the Southeast Asian Ceramic Society of Singapore (SEACS) and the Harvard Club of Singapore (HCS).

Professionally, Andrew is an executive director of an independent, private and MAS-licensed funds management firm with over USD 1 billion in assets under management. His focus is on private equity funds and investments within Southeast Asia. He also has over 20 years of general management and entrepreneurial experience in start-up businesses and private corporations with global operations. A graduate of RMIT University and The University of Melbourne, Andrew has also completed executive management programmes at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.

Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in finance and management to the school. ITI welcomes Andrew’s leadership going forward, and extends its deepest gratitude to the outgoing Chairman and long-time patron of the school, Arun Mahizhnan. Arun will remain a member of the ITI board.

ITI Co-Founder and Director T. Sasitharan says,

”On behalf of all at ITI I want to thank Arun for being an exemplary Chairman. He was on the TTRP/ITI Board since 2000 and took over as Chairman in 2015. With his extensive experience in private sector and government, expertise spanning media, PR and academia and his rare cultural sensibilities, he was the steady hand who guided us through many storms.”
