Sasi speaks at conference in Taiwan
ITI Director T. Sasitharan was invited to speak at Embodying Theatre: Actor Training of EX-Theatre Asia Conference in Taiwan, organised by EX-Theatre Asia. He joined a panel on "Preparing to Perform". -
Awards for alumni in India
Two Kerala-based alumni received awards recognising their contributions to theatre: Sreejith Ramanan (’08) received the Kanal-Vayala Award and Sankar Venkateswaran ('06) received the Shankar Nag Theatre Award. -

Alumna Yeo Yann Yann receives top awards
Alumna Yeo Yann Yann ('03) won Best Leading Actress at the Golden Horse Awards and Best Actress at Pingyao International Film Festival, for her performance in Anthony Chen's film Wet Season. She also received the Inspiring Woman in Film Award at the Singapore International Film Festival. -
Stephen Riady Donates S$1 Million to ITI in Support of Arts Education
ITI has received S$1 million from prominent businessman and philanthropist, Dr Stephen Riady — one of the largest gifts from an individual donor to an independent arts organisation in Singapore. -
Alumnus wins awards in the Philippines
Alumnus Miyuki Kamimura (’05) received the Best New Actor award at Urduja Film Festival for his performance in Filipino film Tanabata’s Wife. His performance also earned him the Best Actor award at ToFarm Film Festival 2018. -
Alumni elected to National Committee on Dramatic Arts in the Philippines
Alumni Felimon Blanco (’05) and Denise Mordeno Aguilar (’14) have been elected as Head and Secretary, respectively, of the National Committee on Dramatic Arts in the Philippines from 2020 - 2022. They previously held the respective positions of Vice Head and Assistant Secretary from 2017 - 2019. -

ITI alumnus and third-year students Felimon Blanco, Ted Nudgent Tac-an, and Hope Tinambacan present three solo performances at "1NNOSARA, Mindanao Solo Performance Project". -
NAFA award for faculty
ITI movement teacher Lim Chin Huat received the NAFA Distinguished Alumni Medal from his alma mater, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), in recognition of his contributions to the Singapore arts scene.

Kalaiselvi Grace
Kalaiselvi Grace graduated from Intercultural Theatre Institute in 2014 and now works as a freelance actor, creator, director, educator, puppeteer and writer. Some of her own works include Crocodiles in Kurtas (Esplanade OctoBurst 2019), Touch Me Not (part 1 of Goddesses of Words – Sarojini Naidu), The Old Fogies (Esplanade OctoBurst 2018) and Mother I (1 & 2). Grace also acted in Miss British (Esplanade Studios series 2019) and directed 3FVU for TheatreWorks' N.O.W. 2019 festival. She started Brown Voices, a collective to write professional scripts with Indian narratives, with their first showcase at Centre 42’s Late-Night Texting 2019.
