    Alumna Yeo Yann Yann ('03) won Best Leading Actress at the Golden Horse Awards and Best Actress at Pingyao International Film Festival, for her performance in Anthony Chen's film Wet Season. She also received the Inspiring Woman in Film Award at the Singapore International Film Festival.

    Alumni Felimon Blanco (’05) and Denise Mordeno Aguilar (’14) have been elected as Head and Secretary, respectively, of the National Committee on Dramatic Arts in the Philippines from 2020 - 2022. They previously held the respective positions of Vice Head and Assistant Secretary from 2017 - 2019.

    On National Day, ITI Chairman Arun Mahizhnan was awarded the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in recognition of his work as a member of the National Library Advisory Committee. He is the first person to receive the honours under the National Library Board’s commendation.

    richard III redux, a play by ITI guest lecturer Kaite O’Reilly and faculty member Phillip Zarrilli, is one of three plays shortlisted for the James Tait Black Prize for Drama 2019.

    The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on 19 August at the Traverse Theatre at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
